Todd’s assessment:
The telecom manager could actually be in there and part of the ITAD process. A lot of times the IT asset manager who handles distributed assets, such as PCs, laptops, tablets, monitors, and mobility would also be in charge of telecom devices. But to your point, they could have a mobility manager. What I’ve seen, at least in large US based companies maybe 10% to 20% of those companies actually provide corporate-owned devices. Most of those companies are a BYOD type model. And even of those 20% or so that that have corporate-owned devices, typically that telecom provider manager is going to be working with the Verizon the AT&Ts, the T-mobiles, as they have large corporate agreements. But the ones that have to dispose of those phones falls under the ITAD program, and yes, those people would be involved for sure.
